INSPIRATION
Lucy Bunhill provides commercial and residential freelance interior design support to interior designers, architects and creative studios, integrating seamlessly into existing teams to help deliver projects efficiently, creatively and to a high professional standard. In addition to teaching and mentoring for those within the industry.
With specialist experience in wellbeing-led environments, commercial, retail as well as high end luxury residential interiors, she supports projects from concept through to delivery, offering expertise in space planning, colour and material specification, project management, FF&E selection and furniture detailing and beyond. Working with clarity and autonomy, enabling lead designers and studios to maintain momentum while ensuring design intent, functionality and compliance are consistently met.
She produces high-quality 3D visuals and renders using Vectorworks, Rayon Design SketchUp, Enscape as well as using a variety of innovative software and tools to bring the designs crafted to life. Alongside crafting clear technical drawings for bespoke furniture and interior elements.
Her strong understanding of furniture specification, supplier coordination and care-appropriate materials including flame-retardant and innovative product solutions supports confident decision-making and streamlined approval processes, with a Diploma in Furniture making and restoration.
Lucy’s approach is informed by a strong creative and technical heritage. Inspired by her father and grandfather, both highly skilled builders, carpenters and craftsmen, who worked with; Lenygon & Morant and Dudley Poplak, highly regarded interior designers known for their work with The Queen, Princess Diana and other high-profile clients. This heritage and knowledge provided an early appreciation for construction quality, materials and detail.
Sustainability and environmental responsibility are embedded throughout Lucy’s design process. She is committed to minimising waste, reducing carbon impact and supporting a circular economy wherever possible. Lucy works closely with like-minded suppliers and collaborators who share these values, exploring innovative and practical solutions that reduce environmental impact without compromising design quality or functionality.
Experienced in collaborative project delivery, Lucy works closely with in-house project, construction and client teams, supporting programme, budget and procurement requirements. She brings strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, making her a reliable extension of design teams during busy periods, complex project stages or specialist sector work.
